Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is LucasArts’ sequel to 2008’s Star Wars: The Force Unleashed video game. The game will be published for various consoles and handhelds in 2010. Players will again control Starkiller, Darth Vader’s secret apprentice. The game will take place after the events of the first game and between the events in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Haden Blackman, who served as executive producer for the first Force Unleashed game, is also executive producer for the sequel.

The former Sith Marek now appears to be a Jedi, as he wields their distinctive blue lightsabers to slay a towering, Rancor-eating monster. The trailer features voice-overs from both Darth Vader and Yoda talking to Marek, perhaps indicating that he will be torn between the Light and Dark sides of the Force.
